The Rumpl story began on a surf and ski trip through California, when its founders were sleeping in a van. They awoke in subzero temperatures with a car that wouldn’t start. With no cell reception, they decided to bundle up in their sleeping bags. Minutes turned to hours, and in that time the conversation turned to the subject of bedding. Cozy and warm the two acknowledged how much better their sleeping bags felt and performed than their duvets back home. A resolve was made to create a “sleeping bag blanket”. Thus, the first Rumpl product was born.
