Coach, established in New York City in 1941, is a leading design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle collections with a rich heritage of pairing exceptional leathers and materials with innovative design.

1941: In a Manhattan loft, six artisans handcrafted a collection of leather goods using skills handed down from generation to generation; Coach was founded. Customers all over the world seek out the quality and unique nature of Coach craftsmanship partnered with our American attitude and design.

September 2013: Stuart Vevers joins Coach. He is recognized as one of the most prominent creative leaders in his field and has held critical creative roles with Bottega Veneta, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton, amongst others.

February 2014: Sees the first ever Coach presentation during New York Fashion Week unveiling Stuart’s vision for the brand and first steps towards evolving Coach from a woman’s handbag and accessories brand to a broader lifestyle one anchored in accessories.

What is Stuart Vevers’ Coach? Effortless, understated and personal. A lightness of spirit born of American sportswear. Elevating the elemental and familiar, exploring the tension between utility and luxury. Luxe craftsmanship paired with functionality. An aspirational heritage meets a downtown attitude. Tradition and authenticity modernized and re-invented for a new audience. A journey across America that starts and finishes in New York. “I want Coach to be a genuine, authentic alternative – almost imagining a girl starting in New York and doing a trip around the world, and picking these things up along the way and ending up back in New York.” -Stuart Vevers, in an interview with WWD
